It's about time. This blog was paused because, "Uni happened".
Can anyone relate? Test after test after test after test after-stop me because I could go on and on.
Anyhow, I am back, no regrets, lots of lessons learned to share and confidence to write, why?
Because I found the following Words and true to its power, the Words have given me life!
2 Timothy 1:7 says FOR GOD DID NOT GIVE ME A SPIRIT OF TIMIDITY (OF COWARDICE, OF CRAVEN AND CRINGING AND FAWNING FEAR), BUT [HE HAS GIVEN ME A SPIRIT] OF POWER AND LOVE AND OF CALM AND WELL-BALANCED MIND AND DISCIPLINE AND SELF-CONTROL. (AMP)
JOHN 10:10 says THE THIEF COMES ONLY IN ORDER TO STEAL AND KILL AND DESTROY. I CAME THAT THEY MAY HAVE AND ENJOY LIFE, AND HAVE IT IN ABUNDANCE (TO THE FULL, TILL IT OVERFLOWS). (AMP)
2 Timothy 1:9 says [FOR IT IS HE] WHO DELIVERED AND SAVED US AND CALLED US WITH A CALLING IN ITSELF HOLY AND LEADING TO HOLINESS [TO A LIFE OF CONSECREATION, A VOCATION OF HOLINESS], [HE DID IT] NOT BECAUSE OF ANYTHING OF MERIT THAT WE HAVE DONE, BUT BECAUSE OF AND TO FURTHER HIS OWN PURPOSE AND GRACE (UNMERITED FAVOR) WHICH WAS GIVEN US IN CHRIST JESUS BEFORE THE WORLD BEGAN (ETERNAL AGES AGO). (AMP)
JOHN 10:4 says WHEN HE HAS BROUGHT HIS OWN SHEEP OUTSIDE, HE WALKS ON BEFORE THEM, AND THE SHEEP FOLLOW HIM BECAUSE THEY KNOW HIS VOICE. (AMP)
PHILIPPIANS 4:13 says I HAVE STRENGTH FOR ALL THINGS IN CHRIST WHO EMPOWERS ME [I AM READY FOR ANYTHING AND EQUAL TO ANYTHING THROUGH HIM WHO INFUSES INNER STRENGTH INTO ME; I AM SELF-SUFFICIENT IN CHRIST'S SUFFICIENCY]. (AMP)
ISAIAH 41:10 says ...I PULLED YOU IN FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD, CALLED YOU IN FROM EVERY DARK CORNER OF EARTH, TELLING YOU, 'YOURE MY SERVANT, SERVING ON MY SIDE. I’VE PICKED YOU. I HAVEN'T DROPPED YOU.' DON'T PANIC. I'M WITH YOU. THERE'S NO NEED TO FEAR FOR I'M YOUR GOD. I'LL GIVE YOU STRENGTH. I'LL HELP YOU. I'LL HOLD YOU STEADY, KEEP A FIRM GRIP ON YOU. (MSG)
Sorry, I'm shouting, just felt the need for emphasis. LOL.
I thought I should share this because as much as I want to be consistent with postings on this blog, life happens, other things become priorities and truth be told I sometimes get doubtful about whether God wants me to blog anyway.
Since learning about grace (God's undeserved goodness) and being set free from 'some' struggles, I have felt the need to give my life back to God, especially since He knows better because He made me and I seem to mess up when I try in my strength. I have been living with this belief, and constantly filled with thoughts of "oh I should probably not be desiring to blog", "am I sure this is what God would want me to do?"
Well, I decided to think on and believe these:
■ That I have the mind of Christ and as I delight myself in Him, He grants me the desires of my heart (so by faith I believe the desire to blog is from Him).
■ That He is the one who saved me and has given me life and wants to use my experiences to draw people to Him, the source of Life.
■ That He has come to give us life in abundance. It is the enemy that's a thief, killing and stealing and this blog does not intend to do any of those, neither is it intended to be full of posts that cause accusations and fear (Rev 12:10).
■ God must be the giver of the passion to write this blog! Even though I do not hear an audible voice but rather an inner nudging and freedom to enjoy myself through this medium while spreading light, I will write.
An impactful quote my mum shared with me is: 'Don't worry, you know I will always correct you' with a look saying 'you'd better believe I will! trust me.' This instilled peace, confidence and trust at the fact that I didn't have to stop living because I'm worried about my imperfections and making mistakes. It helped me realise that I could live boldly, knowing that I have love that will reach out and call me back if I strayed from who I really am.
So, here's to beautiful blog posts to come from this wordsmith because 'I will write.'
‘cause sharing is caring <3,
