Thoughts on album
I love this album, it has fuelled my relationship with God. You Make Me Brave generally has slow songs which I am a huge fan of. Don’t immediately think you’ll become sombre listening to these type of slow songs because the lyrics are power packed, they’ll boost your confidence in God and give you a reason to move forward in trying times. The songs are hugely meaningful and worthy of your eardrum’s vibrations.
You Make Me Brave by Amanda Cook will never get old with lyrics like: ‘As your love in wave after wave crashes over me, crashes over me. For you are for us, you are not against us…’
Shepherd is an awesome song of assurance with these words: ‘you are able to keep me from stumbling and in my weakness, you are the strength that comes from within, good shepherd of my soul…’
A Little Longer is such a sweet song that talks about the singer approaching God with questions of what she could do for Him and God’s response being to just stay with Him a little longer. God is sooo LOVING and wants relationship with us. This is what I’m learning. Yes, He wants to use us to do awesome things on earth and in the same vein, He wants to love on us and let us know who we are: fearfully and wonderfully made, worthy, blameless, holy, all in Jesus Christ.
Come to Me is a great song which portrays our Father’s heart to us. Perhaps you should keep some tissue close by while listening to it, because it will truly feel like God lovingly speaking to you and telling you: ‘Come to me, I’m all you need…I am your anchor in the wind and the waves, I am your steadfast, so don’t be afraid…’
Those are my favourites on the album.

I hope you enjoy the album like I have. I noticed that Christian songs can’t be murdered :p By this, I mean that even though you play them over and over and over again they hardly get annoying. Instead you become increasingly inspired by the lyrics and even if you do take a break from them, somewhere down the line, you befriend the songs again. What do you think?
